This morning, I was struggling with a devotion topic again. Sometimes when I wake up I have it right there. Other times it takes me a while to come up with something that I need to tell myself. To teach myself. Today is one of those days. But I think God\u2018s timing is perfect. Actually, I know God\u2018s timing is perfect. Because this morning I had a comment on one of my posts from my sister-in-law. And struck a chord with me. And the comment came as I was trying to think of a topic. Let me explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few days ago, I made a post on Facebook that was meant to be funny. And it would\u2019ve been if I had a picture of myself in it. Basically, it was a photo of a father and his daughter at a bike race. One of the cyclists lost control and the father was holding his daughter up. And I made the joke about him using her as a shield. Although I\u2019m certain he wasn\u2019t. And I meant for it to be funny. My sister-in-law informed me this morning that the video of the incident was terrible. And that hit home with me. I\u2019m so glad she brought it to my attention. I immediately deleted my post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The point we\u2019re making here is that we never know what someone\u2019s going through. We never know what it is that they are facing. We don\u2019t know their struggles. We don\u2019t know their successes. Unless\u2026we know. God knows. But we might not. Therefore, we shouldn\u2019t make light of something unless we are certain what we\u2019re talking about. We shouldn\u2019t poke fun at it. Well, I clearly didn\u2019t know the whole situation before I made the post. So now I apologize to everyone. I think you know me enough to know that if you\u2019re following me on Facebook, you see that we make funny posts all the time about ourselves. And I need to keep it at that. I need to keep it at situations that I am fully aware of. I need to be better about lifting people up. I need to be better about praying for people. And I promise that I will.
