{"id":5840,"date":"2024-09-17T11:59:06","date_gmt":"2024-09-17T11:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/charlie22outdoors.com\/?p=5840"},"modified":"2024-09-17T11:59:06","modified_gmt":"2024-09-17T11:59:06","slug":"september-17-devotion-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/charlie22outdoors.com\/?p=5840","title":{"rendered":"September 17 Devotion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I\u2019ve been asked many times, \u201cHow can I be forgiven after what I\u2019ve seen or what I\u2019ve done?\u201d And I\u2019ve heard this over and over, \u201cI don\u2019t deserve to be forgiven.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are both natural human thoughts. they give us something to truly think about. Something to reflect on. Important topics. And the response to both is simple. We don\u2019t deserve to be forgiven. We are all sinners. But our Lord and Savior paved the path for us. His love for us is beyond anything we can comprehend. So much so that He took all the pain and suffering of the cross so we can have eternal peace with him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asking for the Holy Spirit to take control means admitting our \u201cbrokenness\u201d. Admitting our mistakes. Admitting our flaws. That\u2019s hard to do sometimes. But here\u2019s what\u2019s awesome: Our God wants to hear us cry for help. It\u2019s a sign of our faith in Him. We\u2019ll never be on the same level as him. But we can still serve him with our \u201cbrokenness\u201d and flaws. Being broken is exactly why we need Jesus. Being broken is actually why Jesus went to the cross. Being broken is exactly why we need to take him into our hearts and then serve him. Think back to the disciples. They were all broken. They all had issues. And he chose them to serve right there with him. And to serve after he was gone. And that is us today. We are called to be disciples. We are called to go out and make disciples. Our \u201cbrokenness\u201d qualifies us. We are qualified, because Jesus loved us so much that he went to the cross.
